Recap: Bladensburg 37

Parking: Available at the ballfields located at the eastern edge of Bladensburg.

8 cyclists. 36.6 miles. 3245 feet of elevation gain. Route at bottom of post.

Tim Cristy adjusted an existing longer Bladensburg route designed by Cindy Berard. This route traverses a number of roads that are on other routes but from a different direction. Gravel ranged from crushed dirt to scatter gravel. Nice mix of climbs, but overall lower than our usual ratio of climbing.

For lunch we stopped at Mayor’s Corner convenience store and sat at their picnic tables. Food and supplies are available when open. Weather was brisk to start in the low 50’s and topped out in low 60’s. Serious headwind as we headed west.
