This is a fast course! the route will take you over dirt and paved “state roads” around Ashtabula county in Northeast Ohio.
A gravel road race on private farm roads at the base of Cedar Mountain in Rapidan, Virginia.
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Locust Hill Farm encompasses over 5,000 continuous acres of privately-owned land. Only 90 miles from the center of Washington, D.C., the farm is surrounded by untouched, historic land and borders Cedar Mountain (a.k.a. Slaughter’s Mountain) where a historic Civil War battle took place in 1862.
Rooted Vermont will offer two course lengths of 45 or 85 miles, both are ~70% dirt and 3500’ or 8000’ of climbing. The race will begin in our hometown of Richmond, traveling south through the heart of the Green Mountains towards Ripton. Some of the gravel will be silky smooth, some sections, called Class 4 or pavé, will be more rugged.

The 2019 ROJR (Ride On Jeremy’s Ride) is the last race/ride of the six event Ohio Gravel Race Series and will be held Saturday, Oct. 12. The ROJR offers a 100 and 60 mile loop, both can be done individually or in teams of 4. The 100 mile individual ride qualifies for the race series.
