2024 Great Big Spring Thaw Ride
I want to thank Kari Hutson, Aaron Stevenson (Kenda Tires), Kelly McKenna (assist with Kenda Tires), Jeff Davis (Brioso Coffee), William Anthony Paskett (BikeSource), and Mandi Payton for a wonderful event. I hung out at the shelter and met up with old friends and made some new friends around the Kenda firepit. There were more than 75 cyclists for this year’s ride in the sun and wind.
Before everyone rolled out Aaron from Kenda had a volunteer beat up a pinata to release the easter eggs with tiny dinosaurs inside. Winners matched their dinosaur with Kenda prizes on the table. Kelly made cheddar and chive biscuits, cupcakes and hot chocolate. Brioso Coffee provided coffee for everyone. Adam Diem, organizer of Roughneck Gravel Roubaix and Craig Thompson, organizer of Homer Gravel Grinder/HFP Racing, rode the route as well.
