Purchase Defeet socks to support Eva's Road to Recovery

Eva Simons is well known in Central Ohio cycling and hiking communities. On Saturday, October 29th, while on a gravel bike ride in Vinton County, Ohio three unleashed, uncontained pit bulls attacked her, pinned her to the ground, and mauled her on the side of the road.

Thankfully, three Good Samaritans (Heather Clark, Joanie Kesling, and Anthony Masters) happened to drive by and were able to save her life. After transporting her to Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Eva was then life-flighted to Grant Medical Center, where she underwent emergency surgery and eventually, the amputation of the left leg above the knee. She has a long road ahead and will require multiple surgeries to reconstruct the remaining leg.

Defeet International in Hickory, NC is selling a special sock design to support Eva’s Road to Recovery. Over 300 pairs were sold in less than a week.
