Recap: Dresden 43 GG

5 cyclists. 43.6 miles. 4049 feet of elevation gain. Parking is at the Tri-Valley High School near the river.

Cindy Berard offered up this route after she rode it with her group. We tweaked the original 48 mile route by removing the spur up to Wills Creek for food and then cutout the gated double track. The weather was amazing for early November with temps in upper 60’s/low 70’s with overcast skies. We did have some headwind toward the end of the ride.

This route winds its way through a lot of Amish life and then skirts the Wills Creek Watershed toward the end. Gravel was dry and fast with some sections of fresh gravel. We had some barkers and one dog who wanted to go for a run. He ran with us for several miles and when got to the intersection a truck pulled up. A man got out and said “that’s the Cunningham’s dog.” He corralled the dog into the truck and headed back the way we came.

A lot of the climbing is short punchy climbs and there are several longer climbs toward the end.
