Recap: Mt. Liberty 27 Gravel

Eight cyclists. 27 miles. 1675 feet of climbing. Three cyclists left early by taking a short cut. Temps in the low 30’s at start and ended in the low 20’s. Headwind for a lot of the ride. Roads were packed and cold with some icy sections. On the second half of the ride the sleet started and then snow swirled around. We had some runners and barkers, plus horses and other animals hanging out in fields. Donkey was in the barn but came out to greet us with his usual vigor. He ate a lot of carrots.

The route is a nice beginner option with a little more climbing overall than Homer. Route is below photos.
