Recap: New Lex Gravel Grinder

17 cyclists, 2 headed out on their own. Two of us rode the 33 miler with 2400+ feet of climbing. The rest of the group rode the 39 mile route which featured a stream crossing. We had three flats (I had one) and two broken spokes (I had one). Temps in the 50’s to the mid-60’s and a tailwind to get us back to the start. Roads were sloppy with some muddy sections. We had some dogs yelling at us and a lot of birds were out enjoying the warm weather. We got a wheelie escort into Shawnee for our lunch stop. A couple of newbie riders today. Good day on the bike.
