  • 40.7 miles / 4000 ft climbing

  • Low 30’s to upper 40’s

  • Sunny for whole ride

  • Vistas everywhere

  • Lots of friendly dogs

  • CCC Camp / North Appalachian Experimental Watershed

  • Wooly Pig Farm Brewery

  • Lots of packed dry gravel

  • Scatter gravel in fresh gravel

  • Big herd of deer in a field

  • Horses and cows

We parked at the Coshocton Lake Park, 23253 OH-83, Coshocton, OH 43812. Plenty of parking in the park with a porta-john.

Route follows Coshocton Chock Full of Gravel Route for first 6 miles. After the route turns into gravel it stays on the ridge tops for about 10 miles.

We found a CCC Camp and North Appalachian Experimental Watershed at one of our intersections. Dropped down into Fresno and climbed back out of the valley over to the Wooly Pig Farm Brewery.

The pigs are wooly like sheep! They bite too! There is a cool brewery dog that is super friendly. We brought lunch along since no food truck was available. Beer was good and reasonably priced. We sat in the heated tent outside the taproom.

The route has estimated 75% gravel. If there have been recent rains many of the roads would be really messy. Lots of fresh gravel on many of roads and scattershot gravel sections.

Lots of friendly dogs out barking on the route. A lot of horses and cows in the fields too. We also saw a big herd of deer running in a field.
