Recap

We parked at Rocky Boots store parking lot near the trailhead. This route has a lot of tree coverage for the gravel sections, but the road sections are open to the sun for the most part. Several of the gravel climbs have become rutted from recent rainfall and the usually muddy roads were dry as a bone.

At one house we encountered stinky dogs, a lot of turkeys and chickens milling about.

We stopped at the pavilion in Murray City to eat snacks and decided to skip the last gravel loop because of the heat. We did stop at the spring at Buchtel to cool off.

Original route below. We cut out the last gravel loop at Goose Run Rd.
