Recap: Lake Hope Gravel Grinder

3 cyclists. 16 miles. 1800+ ft climbing. Temps in upper teens topping out at 32. And the sun came out in the end. 1 mile from start on the first climb Peter shredded his chain. After fixing the chain the alternator plates popped out of place. It took two slow motion falls to drop the air pressure on my tires (Bill would be proud). Beautiful snowy roads. Some tree fall. Did the gravel loop on the ridge back to the cars. Crossed the road and climbed the paved road to the ridge and dropped down into the valley for a stop at Moonville Tunnel. Took the Moonville Rail Trail for a portion of the ride back. Great day on the bike.

Two route options with bailouts.
