Recap: White Christmas Eve Gravel Grinder

2 cyclists. 26 miles. 2200 ft climbing. Started at Blackwater Bikes in Davis, WV. Headed east and connected with forest roads. Passed a guy walking his Airedale. Trails were a mix of snow covered and runoff and we hit 3900 feet at the top. Found Herbie the Love Bug and his half brother. Crossed the road and headed down the Canaan Valley Loop road. Temps dropped as we dropped in elevation. Passed 4 fat bikers coming off the mountain bike trails. Two stream crossings. I got stuck halfway across the second and ended walking through the stream. Christine Ingersoll walked both streams. Stopped at Lindy Point to check out the views. Met a couple who brought their cat along for the walk. Stopped at Blackwater Falls overlook. Temps ranged from mid 20's to mid 30's.
