Recap: New Lex Gravel Grinder 33

33.5 miles. 3000 feet of climbing. When I was deciding what route to ride for the weekend I realized neither of the New Lexington routes were on the website. So I added them here. Thanks to Mike Smith and Mid-Ohio Valley Gravel Grinders for the route development. Thirty-three mile GPS route is located below the photos.

Ample parking is available at the Lexington City Pool parking lot or near the ballfields down the hill. Gravel was mostly dry except for one road on the ridge with some muddy sections. Lots of flowers and trees blooming. Headwind for most of the first half of the ride. Stopped at the Stone Church Campground for lunch in the shade. Temps started in the mid 50’s and reached upper 70’s at the end. Beautiful day on the bike.
