Recap: Athens County Gravel Grinder

10+ riders. 41 miles. 4400+ feet of climbing. Roads were a mix of snow covered and mushiness as the temps rose into the mid 60’s. Two cyclists headed out before the main group. Two riders peeled off to ride the short cut route. Two other riders left early to get back to Cbus. We had several flats and a cleat that wouldn’t stay tight. Tons of animal sightings including; ducks, chickens, roosters, a big black pig lounging in the sun, alpacas, goats and more alpacas. We also saw a replacement for Li'l Sebastian hanging out in a field. We stopped to eat lunch in a field. Challenging and fun day on the bike.
