Recap: Nite Rider Gravel Grinder Pre-Ride
50 degrees in January, brilliant sunshine, and a fun route in and around the AEP Recreation Lands—what’s not to love? 9 riders came out to preview the course for the Nite Rider Gravel Grinder and explore some other areas. 4 of us ended up doing the full route, which had to be modified on the fly, and ended with 32 miles and 2900 feet of climbing. Considering the overnight rain, the roads were in pretty good shape, though some of the haul roads were soft. Major kudos to Sarah for providing post-ride chili and libations.
