Recap: Black Friday Olson Tower Explorer

Solo #optoutside Black Friday ride. 28.5 miles. 2300 ft climbing. Started in Parsons, WV on the Highland Trail. Rode up Blackwater Canyon Trail to Douglass Falls. Found a shortcut to remove the slog to Coketon. Climbed up Canyon Rim Rd. 2 stream crossings. Multiple puddles and rocky sections. 16 mile climb topped out at 3800 ft at Olsen Tower. Windy and cold for my 133 step crossfit climb to the top. Surprisingly the lookout building was open but very cold, windy and icy. Took a lot of photos of the beautiful views. Lunch outside at the base out of the wind. Screaming downhill and side road venture back to Highland Trail.
