Recap: 2017 Gravel Rouser

48.5 miles. 3900 ft climbing. Ride is organized by Athens Bicycle and hosted at Jackie O's Taproom & Brewery, It was kicked off by exploding a bicycle tube. 56 cyclists total. A few sprinkles in the first half of ride but cleared up. Temps were in upper 30's/low 40's. Gravel roads were sloppy. At Lake Hope cyclists can time trial a MTB route, but I chose to take the ridge around to the rest stop. Rode with a group back that broke up as we got closer to Athens. Food from Kiser's Barbeque on E. State along with a beer was a great end to a day on the bike.
