Recap: Glouster-Burr Oak 33

6 cyclists. 33.4 miles. 3800 feet of climbing. Big thanks to Nick Tepe for developing this route (see bottom of post for embedded route).

Parking is at the Trimble High School in Glouster, Ohio. There is a Marathon and other small convenience stores for snacks and bathroom access. Temps were in mid 40’s at the start and the sun came out and temps shot up to low 60’s. Gravel was dry and fast for the most part. Bring your climbing legs and make sure the brakes are tuned up because this route features spectacular ridge top views and screaming downhills. We broke up into two groups, faster and party pace. Justin struggled with out of whack rear shifting. Chris was struggling with winter legs. We stopped to eat lunch in the sun on the side of the road.

We met Cupcakes the dog (Blue Heeler), hung out with Floofy (not real name) the cat that liked to scratch its back on our tires, and some dogs and chickens at a farm. One of the houses we passed had an odd message painted on the door.
