Recap: 55 Miles of Buffalo Ridge
Racing may be on hold but beautiful days spent riding through the Ohio hillside are not! I have decided to make it my goal to complete as many of the OGG routes as I can before the end of the year and let me tell you they have all been fantastic. In my search for epic gravel I reached out to Ray and he suggested the 55 mile Buffalo Ridge Route. At first I was hesitant because of the long drive to get there but it was definitely worth it and then some! Here is a quick breakdown:
55.6 miles / 7572 ft of climbing
Ride time 4:59:24 v Elapsed time 5:14:40
No mechanicals and self supported with fuel and hydration (2 gas stations along route for post COVID19 rides)
60s and sunny
This route features the key sites such as The Legends of Music Barn and the hill top Lighthouse that can be found on both the 37 and 44 mile versions. It also boasts of gorgeous Ohio hillsides, multiple (7) category 4 climbs and incredibly rewarding descents.
