Recap

We parked at Union Furnace Elementary School parking lot. Beginning of the ride features a pavement climb to warm up and the rest of the route is a mix of gravel and pavement. Gravel roads were dry, fast and loose. Weather was perfect for the whole ride with a mix of sun and clouds and low humidity.

Over the route the riders split into three pace groups and the last group of 11 experienced a broken chain, flat tire and a derailleur issue. One group cut the route short.

There were only a few dogs on the route and most stayed on their property.

We stopped for lunch at the Lake Hope State Park campground and for water and a bathroom break.
