Recap: A Quarry of Bat Nests Gravel Grinder

7 cyclists. 40.5 miles. 4000 ft climbing. 1 flat. 1 spill. Temps were comfortable but humid. Quarry Road was hike-a-bike with some ridable sections. Bat's Nest was slippery at the start and ridable with hike-a-bike sections. We saw horses and lots of dogs on the route, plus one big chicken in the front yard of a house.. Gravel was loose and fast for most of the ride. Great day on the bike!
