Started in Frankfort, MI. Headed past the bay and to the NW. The trail is paved for the first section and then turns to mixed gravel/sand. The trail passes by Crystal Lake and then Beulah before heading into the woods. The trail officially ends in Thompsonville, but looks to continue in unimproved fashion. I turned around and headed back after enjoying a snack. 44 miles total. Ended the day at the beach with a book.
